Launched in 2018 at Crick Boat Show, Aqua Furnishings specialises in small space solutions for boats, yachts and the marine sector including boat blinds and curtains,  custom upholstered seating cushions both indoors dinette seating and outdoors. Plus other made to measure boating essentials such custom fitted bed sheets, porthole bungs and door panels to fit small marine windows. The company is in the hands of Alex Hudson-Oldroyd, who supported the set up of the company and is now the Managing Director.

Along side our soft furnishings business, we developed Aqua by Design, our own brand of fabric designs with waterways themed patterns and designs. These are unique to us and are very popular with our narrowboat customers. We also source technical fabric that can endure the frequent use on a canal boat or yacht. Therefore our upholstery fabrics have a high Martindale and are stain resistant. Whilst our outdoor fabrics have a high fade resistance, mould resistance and UV resistance, perfect for the environment they will be in. We also only use our quick dry foam for outdoor cushions, so that it is fit for purpose in the UK, where it does rain a lot.

We can offer you a consultation at our studio in Derbyshire, or an online consultation, at the end of the consultation you will have a good idea of colour schemes, free fabrics samples, and a quote. A consultation will be £40, but this will be refunded if you decide to go ahead with the quote.
